I enjoyed the game’s colorful art style and the relaxing pace. And I did experience some bright spots during my playthrough of the game. In fact, it feels a little bit like kicking a dog while it’s down (not that you should kick a dog while they’re standing up either). I don’t mean to be overly harsh in my review of Puparazzi. And while this might be a good thing for younger players, I did find it just a tad bit disappointing when I actually managed to capture a great shot. It only matters if you capture the quest objective as the game doesn’t care very much about quality. And players shouldn’t worry about catching the perfect angle or lighting in their quest photos. Thankfully, the same pressure to post consistent, high-quality content that exists in the real world doesn’t apply in Pupperazzi. Now, as much as I enjoy looking at cute puppers on my Insta account, social media is not really something I look for in a video game. However, if I want to spam all 52 of my followers with adorable dog pics then that’s what I’ll do dagnabit! This mechanic makes sense as it keeps players from gaining followers too quickly. Posting too many photos in a short amount of time will get you flagged for spam and block you from submitting any more photos that day. However, you can’t just start sharing photos all willy nilly. And once you’ve reached a high enough follower account new areas will become available to explore.Ī beach-side boardwalk is one of the areas players can unlock in Pupperazzi. As you post photos to your in-game social media account your audience will grow. I mean, I don’t know what comes up on your social media feed, but there’s a lot of heckin’ good girls and boys on my timeline. Simply implementing a tool selection wheel would have greatly improved my experience with the game. ![]() Which is a shame considering this is something you have to do often for quests. I also found changing camera lenses and film types to be a bit of a hassle. Instead, players are forced to be conservative with their film and stop what they’re doing in order to “recycle” old photos to make room for new ones. A skateboarding pooch has got to get some serious views right?
